TCFN is a nonprofit organization that uses Internet technologies to bring people together in communities of shared interest or need. We've been linking the people of Minneapolis, St Paul and neighboring communities since 1995.

TCFN's pro-bono legal counsel.

Helps keep the public libraries stocked with our brochures.
Hays, John
Co-hosts the Commons conference.
Huck, Mike
Processes registration and renewal forms. Helps out with appearances at neighborhood festivals.
Kenney Lillejord, Hans
As TCFN's former treasurer, handles all bills, paychecks, taxes, and other financial matters. Co-founded the Free-Net and took a turn processing registration forms.
Kleist, Dave
Made it possible for us to delete accounts from our membership database, and is currently working to make said database more comprehensible. Responsible for MySQL, the database software on our server.
Koppang, Amanda

Hosts the Safetynet conference. In 1997-98, actively promoted Safetynet and the Free-Net in general in the Lyndale neighborhood and beyond.
Norstrem, Glenn
Co-hosts the Parents conference with his wife, Kitty, and chairs the Nominating Committee while serving on the board. Coded more than 150 member surveys in 1998.
Olson, Fred
Manages the nbhd-tc (Twin Cities Neighborhoods) mailing list.
Palmer, Doug
Helps keep the libraries stocked with our brochures.
Riese, Erik
Co-hosts the Commons conference and studies the Star Tribune for information relevant to the Free-Net.
Schanno, Terry
Active sysadmin volunteer and recipient of Root mail.
Schewe, Jon
Maintains lynx, frequently diagnoses and repairs technical and programming problems, serves as Documentation Specialist. Fixed quota-related problems after the move to our new server and after Y2K.
Settanni, Catherine
Played a key role in founding the Community Computer Access Network (C-CAN) and
served on the board of directors.
Stenberg, Jarrod
Continues to serve as an active system-administration volunteer in spite of completing his paid employment in February 2000. Established (and named) the OrgResources domain-registration service as a fundraiser for the Free-Net. Maintains Majordomo.

Does miscellaneous data entry, as needed.
Woolley, David
Supervises the Neighborhood Conversation Center and updates its Caucus software. Led TCFN for almost 3 years, in the roles of president, executive director, and board member.

Served as chief system administrator and a board member in 1998 and 1999. Pulled many late nights and long hours to fix things.
Beardsley, John
Served as president of the board of directors. Chaired the Promotion Committee and served on the Development Committee.
Bertsch, Steve
Helped track down and solve a number of problems related to the move to our new server in October and November 1999.

Processed registration and renewal forms once a week for a year.

Served as a liaison to the organizational members in 1999 and 2000: recruiting, supporting, and billing. Also maintained the Cities & Neighborhoods pages and served on the board.

Founded and hosted the St. Paul Issues Forum.
Harvieux, Eric
Helped for several years with system administration, programming, tech support, and the redesign of our Web site... while holding down a job and attending high school.
Hathaway, Shari
Co-authored the 1998 Member Survey, took responsibility for receiving 423 responses and nearly as many bounced-mail error messages after it was sent out, and processed over 100 of the responses herself. Provided telephone tech support for a number of months. Counted ballots in the 1999 and 2000 board elections.
Hohmann, Michael
Wrote the 1999 organizational member survey as a cornerstone in our strategic planning. Also served as a board member in 1998 and 1999.
Holtz, Mark
Signed up more than 50 residents of an Elliot Park apartment building in September, 1998. At various times also hosted the Useless, Home and Garden, and Recreation conferences.
Leonard, Jane
Served on the board from January 1999-2001 and briefly served as board secretary.
Treacy, Ann
Served on the board, chaired the fundraising committee, and wrote at least 7 grant proposals in 1999.
Urberg Carlson, Bradley
Provided invaluable assistance with our old IRIX server up until 1999; helped set up and repair our connection at Onvoy. Co-founded the Free-Net and served as system administrator for a time.
Venkatrathnam, Nolan
Served as liaison to organizational members from 1995 to 1999, helping dozens of neighborhood organizations get online through the Free-Net. He also worked one-on-one with residents in the Stevens Square - Loring Heights and co-founded the Safetynet conference.

Coordinated the User Support group, organized the Answers and support conferences, answered the voice mail, and performed user account administration, documentation, and programming support over a period of several years.
